PROJECT OVERVIEW
-
Solar Farm in Bintan. 400MW solar in top-soil depleted mining areas, which ensure low cost of solar. Scaleable to 1200 MW peak solar for future.
-
Management of Intermittency: Solar power generated during the day needs to be managed for intermittency and stbility to ensure stable power to electroyser (green H2) plant
-
Power Transmission: Uses existing grid and the redundant transmission lines to move power from across Riau Islands Indonesia to electrolyser facility in Bintan.
-
Hydrogen production facility: Start with 600 MW electrolyser capacity in 2027, which is scalable to 1800 MW by 2032, all of this will be based on renewable power.
-
Export to Singapore: Green gaseous hydrogen will be exported using subsea pipelines from Indonesia to Singapore, where the the gaseous hydrogen will used as a fuel for green power generation, with net zero emissions.
